As I’m going away on a business trip to a rural area for an entire week with minimal access to the internet or other people I have planned for myself the ultimate marathon, a marathon spanning 5 days, 30+ hours and 25 Gigabytes of anime. 39 episode of pure anime goodness or at least I am hoping so because if they suck I’m going to be bored out of my brain for the entire time. The last trip I took like this I had a 50+ episode Fairy Tail marathon which left me a little bit insane but this time I’ve planned ahead and have a variety of anime to keep me occupied.
The line up includes a stockpile of anime I’ve been saving for the last few weeks some of which I’ve never seen before.
First up is Dog and Scissors. This anime had a decent first episode but I haven’t watch anymore since that and have five new ones to watch. I’m honestly not expecting much as I’ve heard it’s kind of pointless but regardless I have my fingers crossed it doesn’t suck.
Second is Gatchaman Crowds. Like Scissor dog I watch the first episode and stockpiled the next four for this trip. It seems like it could be good as I was getting a Tiger and Bunny Vibe from it but maybe a bit more nonsensical. I’m almost certain this is going to be good but there is this little me sitting on my should whispering into my ear ever so softly. “It’s going to suck harder then Guilty Crown”
Third is Genshiken Nidaime which I found the first two episodes of to be rather entertaining. Sure it’s not a typical anime many of us are watching but I believe it’s got enough drama and character to keep me entertained for the next three episodes or a little over an hour of my 30 hours of anime time.
Fourth is Silver Spoon. Hmmmmm, It’s okay I suppose but is it going to do anything. I’m not really interested in horses and that’s the direction it seems to be taking so I’ve got my doubts. Good production quality though so it’s not all bad.
Fifth is Kamisama No Inai Nichiyoubi. One episode of this wasn’t enough to get a feel for it so I’m uncertain what to expect. Good things hopefully as the main two characters have an interesting dynamic in the beginning.
Sixth is Kimi no Iru Machi and honestly I have no idea what it is. Hopefully it’s not porn or something…. Maybe I should researched it before getting the first few episodes. This would count as the wild card.
Seventh is Kiniro Mosaic although almost up to date with it. Cute comedy but that’s about it. karen is such a useless addition to the cast by the way as she brings nothing interesting to the table. No offence if you like her i just feel that way.
Eighth is Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S which I put on hold for a little while with this trip in mind. Basically I’m expecting some decent fights and very little plot.
Ninth is Servant x Service and boy do i like this one. The number one reason is because it’s a comedy focused on adults which has nothing to do with school except for the one high school girl who shows up and ruins that… shut up.
Tenth is Stella Jogakuin Koutouka C3-bu and this is something I’m not convinced about or even really interested in. I just got it because the first two episodes didn’t tank… Three episode rule is keeping this one going.
That is everything and honestly I suspect I’ll return from my trip with less sanity then I have now but you know what I’m okay with that because like memories what you forget is gone and if you forgot it existed in the first place then no real harm is done because it’s not coming back.
