Here is a long list of every anime and a couple of manga I have watched or read in order of how much I enjoyed them. I have completed most of them excluding a couple near the bottom which sucked so much I dropped them. There is also a few anime I have watched the first episode of but didn’t like which did not make the list. The purpose of the list is so you can notice something I haven’t watched and recommend it to me in a fan boy like fashion to get me to watch it. The list does not contain anything that is currently airing this season.

You know what’s awesome? I think I’ve watched 95% of these in one form or another! And I agree with you for the most part. Besides the fact that ur forgetting Code Geass R2 and the fact you have HSOTD on here, this is a pretty good list!

I counted Code Geass R2 as part of Code Geass. So it earned it’s spot near the top too. HSOTD is near the bottom because it was a huge flop it’s not like I put it up near the top or anything crazy like that.

Out of curiosity, why is Elfen Lied so low?

It was an alright anime and had a decent story but I felt the gore was excessive and the bit with the dog was too much. Plus I remember the main girl urinating on the floor. That is messed up and I don’t want to see that.
So hence the low ranking.

I’m so saddened to see Sket Dance below Highschool of the Dead and Kannagi…Whatever. Anyways, if you like Mushishi (which I assume you do, since it’s in the top 10), then I recommend you check out Kin’s Journey (Kino no Tabi). The two are very similar, enough that I like to refer to Kino’s Journey as “Mushishi’s lesser-known cousin.” Though that may just be me. Anyways, if the mood ever strikes you, you should check it out.
Nice list. I’m sure it must have been difficult to try to rank things in descending order (I’d have a lot of ties between shows myself).

I got recommended Kino no Tabi a less then an hour ago so now that two people have said it I know I have to watch it. Thanks for the recommendation.
All those anime I don’t really enjoy just end up in a huge pile at the bottom of the list so anything down that far sort of just goes where ever it wants. Except the very bottom. I know those things are suppose to be there.
I started this list when I had watched only 70 anime so it’s a bit of a pet project.

Haha, it must be fate. I hope you enjoy it.
“Except the very bottom. I know those things are supposed to be there.”
(sees above statement)
(looks at bottom of list and sees Yosuga no Sora)
(nods head in solemn agreement)

I’ve just finished watching Last Exile. It was a wonderful blend of CG and traditional artwork. The music used during the various scenes conveyed the proper emotions. The ship battles felt massive and the characters were memorable as well. Glad to see it’s up there. Is this only for anime tv series and manga? I’m surprised the popular Studio Ghibli works are missing.
Recommends -> Honey and Clover

I’m not adding movies to the list just yet. I’m not a huge Ghibli fan anyway. They are good films but just aren’t really my cup of tea.
Last Exile was great I loved the first season. I’m not as into the second season however. Something about Fam just doesn’t sit with me.
I’ve been meaning to watch Honey and Clover for a while now. I’ll have to get onto that. Thanks for the recommendation.

Fate/Stay Night lower than Guilty Crown????

Fate/Stay Night isn’t Fate/Zero. All I remember from Stay/Night is the protagonist winning constantly using the power of friendship and naive idealism.
I’ll admit Guilty Crown is a bit high so I might have to move it down at some point.

Check out the manga for Fate/Stay Night though, it’s really good. On a side note, I don’t know whether you’ve heard about this yet, but the Persona 4 Anime is getting a movie! I’m so excited for it

Oh yeah, I heard about the Persona 4 Movie a couple of hours ago and am super excited. It’s got so much potential; I just hope it gets a health budget and it would be nice if they incorporate the Persona 4 Golden game into the movie too.

Hmmmm, why is Naruto so low?
By: Suheil on June 13, 2012
at 6:28 am
Because although I enjoyed it somewhat I never really got attached to any of the character and now years after I stopped watching it I can’t even remember what happens so I guess that’s why it’s so low.

Persona 4 on the top? That’s a surprise. While I think Persona 4 is good, I don’t think I would rate it so high up (I think the game’s actually better, but that’s a discussion for another time).

I adore Persona 4 because I loved the games to bits. I’ll admit the anime wasn’t perfect but it reminded me of all those hours I spent playing P4. I got P4 during a time when I didn’t have internet or many friends and I played it to death so that’s probably why it’s so high on my all time favorites.

I’m posting a lot, but I highly recommend these:
Shakugan no Shana
Gintama
Tales of the Abyss
Tales of Symphonia
Detective Conan
Yu Yu Hakusho
Hunter X Hunter (2011)
Inuyusha
Psychic Detective Yakumo
Hellsing Ultimate
Shaman King
Hajime no Ippo
Weird statement, but it would be pretty awesome if you can make a list of your fav anime movies

Maybe it’t about time I try out some of these older popular anime. The reason I haven’t tried a few is because they are genres I’m not overly into but that being said if something is good enough it doesn’t matter what genre is about.
Thanks for the list, as for movies I could try that but unlike a lot of anime fans I don’t watch a lot of anime movies. There would be a few on the list but it wouldn’t compare to this huge list.
