Tasogare Otome x Amnesia is the second anime I was curious about after hearing it would be made into an anime for Spring 2012. It is a supernatural story based around Yuuko, a ghost girl that haunts a middle school. The thing is she can only be seen by Teiichi Niiya a first year middle school boy.
Yuuko constantly followed Teiichi around in the first chapter I read of the manga as she has nothing better to do, together the two are trying to piece together her past as she has plot convinient amnesia. Yuuko is a tad on the crazy/playful side and takes advantage of the fact that nobody can see her and proceeds to scare the other students. Although it is cliche it works well as a plot device for this strange supernatural comedy, at least I think it’s suppose to be a comedy, I only read one chapter and laughed a few times.
The possible pros and cons.
Pros
The idea of invisibility is great for comedy and I doubt this idea will become stale if uses correctly.
The cast could easily expand to involve more students or supernatural ghost or monsters easily.
Cons
Once her past is discovered the anime will most likely end, this isn’t a bad thing but it just means this will probably only be a short anime.
There is a lot of other supernatural anime coming out this season so it might get overlooked which would be a shame.
If the anime adaption hold true then I expect this will be one of the talked about comedies of the season.
I read 5 volumes of the manga and I agree that this is a great pick to animate. I wonder how much of the gorgeous art will remain after the conversion…:P

This was one of the nicer art styles so far I hope it remains nice.The promotional image for the anime is a pair of average looking boobs so we can’t say for certain at this point.
It’s animated by Silverlink and they did a good job with C3 so I suppose this should turn out alright.

Heard a little about this, but not completely sure on about it. Think I remember the translated name: The Dusk Maiden of Amnesia or something like that. Not too worried about the animation if Sliverlink is doing it, so more interested in the story. Been missing out on some real supernatural series lately (well, most seem like copy and paste ones). Hope that is not the case for this one.

This anime seems like a fresh new idea so we should see a lot of interesting plots and characters, I’m probably going to read a bit more of the manga at some point because it was unique.
I think the title translates to something like that, it’s a catchy title if you ask me.
